The Omanhene of Sankore traditional council, Ogyedom Appiah Kubi Paabo) katakyie(iv) has given an order to his committee members to ensure that anyone who walks in Sankore puts on a nose mask and if anyone refuses must be fined Ghc10 each time seen without the mask.
Speaking to the media at his palace, he said if one is caught for the second time without the mask, he or she would be fined 20 cedis and if it happens for the third time, that person shall be brought to the palace for the elders to decide on what punishment to be meted out to the individual.
The Omanhene gave this order after handling over a number of Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and nose masks to the assemblymen and committee members in his town to distribute it to the needed institutions and areas in his town for the fight against COVID-19.
He added, though COVID-19 is not a good thing he is happy it has sped up the development of our health sector, especially in the Ahafo region which would soon have a regional hospital including 3 district hospitals.
“It was a must that Ahafo would have a regional hospital but it wasn’t going to be early without COVID-19” he stressed.
