A three-year-old boy has been hospitalized with severe wounds after his biological father allegedly whipped him with a belt and power cable for bed wetting.

The child, identified only as Junior, is on admission at Manhyia Government Hospital in Kumasi while the 30-year culprit, Ebenezer Osei Bonsu, is in police custody.

Widespread public outcry has greeted disturbing pictures of the boy’s ordeal which have since gone viral on social media.

Nhyira FMs Obidehyie Ofori Amanfo visited the boy and his mother and spoke to police on the matter.

Junior’s body depicts a prisoner of war tortured in a concentration camp.
Deep cuts and marks of assault spread over his back, hands and thigh, with two huge bumps on the foreheard.

As little as he is, Junior is able to narrate what happened to him.

Barb is Junior’s 26 year old mother who dated the child’s father, a national Service person, for
about seven years.

The relationship collapsed because of what she alleges was physically abuse by the man.

Ebenezer reportedly took the child on a weekly visitation and started abusing him.

She says it took the intervention of police at Buokrom to rescue the child, despite attempts by the father to conceal the act.
He is now in the custody of the Domestic Violence and Victim’s Support Unit of the Manhyia Division.

Manhyia Divisional Police Commander, ACP Kwaku Buah tells Luv News, police have sent the docket to the Prosecutions Unit to have him remanded in proper custody whilst investigations continue.
