The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr, has won a defamatory suit against the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong.
The outspoken MP claimed Anas and his master Kwaku Baako have companies engaging in galamsey and have destroyed several lands.
“I have lots of pictures where lands and water bodies have been destroyed by illegal mining activities and these lands belong to Anas and his boss.
They are behind all this and it very sad how they are destroying Mother Ghana. Ghana has no future if we allow this to go on in this country.
He further dared Mr. Baako to take legal action against him.
Mr. Baako dragged him to court as he considered the comments of the MP as defamatory.
The Accra High Court on today Friday, June 26, 2020, ruled in favor of Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr.
The Assin Central MP was slapped with GHC100,000 in damages and GHC30,000 as cost of legal expenses.
In addition, Mr Agyapong has also been given 30 days to retract and also apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame Kweku Baako.
