The Assin North District Police Command has arrested a 24-year-old Adepa Vida popularly called Maadwoa who allegedly dumped her two day old baby in a bush at Assin Praso in Assin North District in the Central Region.
According to the Assembly member of Assin Praso Electoral area Mr. Amofa, the suspect on Saturday,July 18, 2020, dumped her baby in the bush after delivering. The baby was found by a Farmer.
The Assin North District Police Divisional Commander, Superintendent Isaac Tetteh confirmed to Edubiaseman fm Morning Show Dubbed MAAKYE with Nana Boro its true that they have arrested a mother who allegedly dumped her newly born baby and there were plans to handle the case to Assin Fosu Divisional Domestic Violence & Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) to arraign the mother of the baby before court since the suspected mother is in police custody for further investigation.
