The fight happened on Saturday at the Dormaa West District office of the Electoral Commission during the mop-up Voter Registration Exercise.
The fight got heated to the extent that three people sustained gunshots wounds and were rushed to the hospital.
On reaching the Dormaa Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital, Stephen Kofi Labatu was pronounced dead on arrival.
Video from the fight scene has surfaced on the internet showing a car and a motorcycle in flames.
According to the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Hon. Maiga Alidu the casualty is a member of the NPP and the two who are receiving treatment at the hospital are NPP and NDC member.
Hon. Maiga Alidu confirmed to graphic that the gunshots were fired by the security personnel.
