A mobile money vendor in Techiman has been shot dead by armed robbers for refusing to hand over his sales.
The 26-year-old identified as Jacob Cudjoe, was attacked by the armed men Thursday night at Abuosu in the Techiman Municipality.
The incident is said to have happened in the evening, when Cudjoe was returning home from work.
“He had closed from work and two men on a motorbike caught him unawares and threatened to shoot him if he refused to give them his money.
“He refused to give them the money and they first shot him in the leg. He then tried to escape and they chased him and shot him in the face,” a witness narrated.
Adom News’ Agya Tawiah, reporting on the incident shared that the deceased was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. His body was has been deposited at the Techiman Holy Family Hospital.
