The National House of Chiefs, headed by Togbe Afede XIV, for the bosses and individuals of Akyem, is requesting an expression of remorse from the previous president and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Mahama.
The interest for the expression of remorse follows what the House of Chiefs portray as ‘ethnocentric notions’ against the bosses and individuals of Akyem being advanced by Mr Mahama on his Facebook page.
The House of Chiefs, in an official statement on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, noticed the substance of the post being shared by the previous president is troublesome and tribalistic.
“We are utilizing this medium to censure explicitly, this boring post being advanced by the previous president,” an aside from of the announcement read.
“The 2020 decisions are around the bend and such ethnocentric feelings ought not be advanced in our body politic. We accept that this dispatch will be generally welcomed and in like manner dealt with by the previous president,” the announcement read further.
