Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam, famously known as Akon, is a Senegalese-American singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and actor from New Jersey.
Akon has once again spoken about about his futuristic city called Akon City in Senegal. Speaking at a conference on August 31, 2020, the sensational singer disclosed that the idea behind the building of the Akon City is to welcome Africans in the diaspora back home.
The sensational singer stated on record that he moved to America at age 7 with his family and guess what, he met quite a of African Americans who knew nothing about the African culture. He said that alone gave him the idea to want to build a city that would motivate these African-Americans about their homes.
