An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced two persons, Issifu Shiabu and Tahiru Aziz to fifteen years imprisonment for snatching a motorbike from its owner at Ablekuma.
According to prosecution on September 10, 2020, at about 11:30pm Issifu Shiabu hired the services of a motor rider from Manhean to Ablekuma for a fare of GH¢15.00.
When they arrived at the destination, Tahiru Aziz joined Shiabu from no where, and both pulled knives and ordered the rider to surrender the ignition key to them. They injured the rider in the process and snatched the motorbike.

The rider raised an alarm and Shaibu was arrested with the support of some eye witnesses who subjected him to severe beatings. Tahiru managed to escape but was later arrested by the Anyaa police and motorbike retrieved.
They were arraigned and convicted on their own plea.
Passing the judgment, His Lordship Ebenezer Osei advised the two convicts to refrain from the habit of snatching motorbikes from innocent people and learn a trade whilst in prison.
