A fatal accident on the Techiman road has claimed the life of the Deputy Bono East Regional Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Isaac Kojo Nsiah died on the spot after a branded NDC vehicle they were traveling in got involved in an accident Saturday night.
The accident reportedly occurred during a head-on collision with a truck carrying bags of fertilizer around the Techiman toll booth area though the police were yet to provide details of the incident.
Three others, who were part of the entourage, are receiving treatment at the Holy Family Hospital at Techiman after sustaining various degrees of injury.
They are Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo, the Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, Bilal Muazu Sulemana the Bono East Regional Youth Organizer, and the Deputy Bono Regional Organizer Rashid Ahmed.
They were said to be returning from a party function in the Kintampo South Constituency when the incident occurred, according to a Facebook post by the party’s National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with them. The Youth Wing commiserate with the family of the deceased and shares in their loss”, the statement read in part.
“May the Almighty strengthens us all in these times”, he concluded.
