Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Antwi-Boasiako also known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’ has stated emphatically the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be denied a chance to cast their votes in the region if they ‘MISBEHAVE’ during the 2020 elections in December.
According to him, any NDC supporter or leader who misbahaves and goes contrary to the rule of law in the country would be held responsibly.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Chairman Wontumi revealed that the security and law enforcement agencies have put up measures in place to deal with miscreants during the December polls.
“We’ve beefed up security for the upcoming December 7 elections and no one including political parties officials especially the NDC who have plot to disturb Ghana’s peace would be allowed to go scotfree”,he said.
He further acclaimed himself as Governor of the Ashanti region and warned the NDC that if they have plans of creating chaos during the elections, then they’ll equally be stopped from voting in the region.
“As the governor of Ashanti region region, I’m sending a word of caution and advise to any NDC person who has planned to bring riot and disturbances to stay away because we are prepared to deal with diligently”, he added.
