Three more persons have been confirmed dead after the collapse of the church building at Akyem Batabi in the Eastern Region.
The death toll has therefore risen from 14 to 17.
So far, 17 bodies have been retrieved from the rubble with eight persons being rescued alive .
Out of the eight, two are receiving treatment while 6 have also been treated and discharged.
The uncompleted church building collapsed on Tuesday as church members were worshipping.
It is estimated that over 60 persons were in the 24 year old building when the disaster occurred.
