Ghanaian artist Sarkodie has been trending on social media after he released his Happy Day song featuring Kuami Eugene.
A lot of people alleged that the song was an endorsement for the NPP since it was alleged that he was given a huge sum of money to campaign for the Party.
In one of the verse of his song, Sarkodie talked about Dumsor which many claim was a big problem during the regime of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)
However the minority Leader in parliament Haruna Iddrisu has reacted to the song and according to him Sarkodie’s song has low bars. He underrated the song saying Sarkodie’s Happy Day song cannot hide anything the NDC has done for Ghana.
Posting on facebook he wrote:
Sarkodie or any other musician whose career is at moribundity can receive any amount of money to endorse a political party. However, the endorsement message should not be punctuated with naked lies or embellished with sickly untruths. It is an incontrovertible fact that His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama solved dumsor. And there is an overwhelming evidence to this fact potentiated with data. Data cannot be hobbled with some low bars musical lyrics.
