Report available to our portal has it that three people have died as a result of a motorbike accident in the Upper West Region.
In more detail, the two motorbikes carrying two persons each had an accident between Tumu and Kowie townships in the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Regio, claiming three lives.
According to eyewitnesses, both riders were over speeding. One of the riders also had his motorbike’s flashlight on and very bright making it unable for the other rider to have a clearer vision on the road. This was what led to the cause of the accident; the motorbikes collided from opposite directions.
It is reported that 3 of the persons involved in the accident have died whiles they were being taken to the Tumu Government Hospital.
The other surviving one is confirmed to be in critical condition as he has been referred to the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
During these few days, a lot of accident issues which have occurred have been as a result of over speeding.
Lots of lives and properties have been lost. It therefore important for us as good citizens to abide by road safety measures so as to avoid cases such as these.
