Ghana’s longest-serving head of state, Jerry John Rawlings has died three weeks after he buried his mother.
The sad death has caused the children of the late Papa J as Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings took her Facebook page to issue a press release.

It is with deep sadness that the family of His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings (Rtd), informs the general public that the former President of the Republic, passed away on Thursday morning after a short illness.
The family requests privacy at this difficult moment.
Details of funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
