According to him, he did not know if he will succeed at the office he had been nominated by the President because he is just one person and his success will me measured based on other factors.
He said he did not accept the nomination because he knew he was going to leave a mark behind which he will be remembered for but rather, it was a position he intended to try.
“Mr Chairman, let me be very humble to tell you that I accepted the nomination to try, I didn’t accept the nomination on the grounds that I will succeed, I accepted to try and that’s what I’,m going to do.”
The Special Prosecutor after two years of being in that position has resigned for what he describes as an interference in his independence.
He has also disclosed that the entitlement due him as the Special Prosecutor and that of his assistant has not been paid since they were appointed to occupy those positions.
