Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, has cautioned the youth trading their sperms for money to desist from the act.
According to the former MP, young male students in the various universities in Ghana have developed the habit of trading their sperms for money in the various fertility centers across the country.
He attributed the act to the failure of the religious institutions to preach the gospel to the youth, adding that the recent gospel is filled with sermons that preaches wealth and affluence.
Speaking in an interview with host of Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Kaakyire Ofori Ayim, former member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, said these young men are ready to do anything to enjoy the wealth and affluence in the society.
He called on the general public to instill the rich Ghanaian culture into their wards to eschew behaviors such as the selling of sperms for survival.
“In most of our universities that is the job these young men do. I have a friend who runs a fertility center in the heart of Accra and if I tell you the number of young university male students who troop into the facility to donate sperm and take money, you will be amazed. These students take these monies and to look good and show off. Ghana is on a time bomb and as Ghanians and we need to holistically bring back our culture and teach our children, that is the only solution”,
he added.
