This Is What Kamala Harris’s Former $799K San Francisco Condo Looks Like.

Now that Vice President Kamala Harris has officially made the move to Washington, D.C., she’s let go of one of her former residences: a 1,069-square-foot penthouse in San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMa) neighborhood. Only one week after the property was listed for $799,000, according to The Wall Street Journal, the condo is under contract (and we can see why).

Spanning two levels, Harris’s former home has one bedroom, a bathroom and a half bath, a walk-in closet, a chef’s kitchen, multiple living and dining areas, a fireplace, a home office alcove, and a patio. Thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings, and light neutral color palette, the penthouse also features an incredible amount of natural light.

Architectural Digest reports that Harris acquired the condo for $489,000 in 2004, after she became San Francisco’s district attorney. We imagine that the quick commute was a bonus point for Harris, since the San Francisco Superior Courthouse is only a mile away from the condo.

Though Harris will soon move into the vice-presidential quarters at Number One Observatory Circle in Washington, D.C., she is reportedly living in the presidential guest house while renovations are underway. According to Architectural Digest, the vice president also currently owns a $5 million mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles, and a two-bedroom condo in Washington, D.C.

Based on the look of her San Francisco condo alone, we now have a good idea of what Number One Observatory Circle might look like when Harris moves in.
