Australian dating coach Louanne Ward asked men and women if they can tell when someone just ‘isn’t that into you’ in her Facebook group, She Said He Said.
‘They are spending time with you but you have a feeling they are just waiting until someone better comes along,’ the Perth relationship expert wrote, adding: ‘Are there signs and is it possible to read them wrong?’
One woman said the biggest red flag is when you finding yourself questioning whether the person is into you in the first place, arguing that a healthy relationship will make you feel secure from the outset.
An overwhelming majority said someone spending hours on their phone while they are with you is the most obvious giveaway that their attentions are elsewhere.
Perth dating coach Louanne Ward (pictured) asked Australian singles to reveal the red flags that someone just isn’t that into you
‘When he spends a lot of time on his phone when you’re together,’ one woman wrote, while a second agreed: ‘Always on his phone instead of being present.’
Another said warning bells should be ringing if the person you are dating rarely asks when you are free next and never seems interested in learning more about your life.
She also urged others to watch for suitors who avoid introducing their friends, which can often be a sign they don’t envisage a future with you.
‘If they’re not pursuing you, it’s not going in the right direction,’ she added.

* Never making plans to meet
* Never asking questions about you or your life
* Avoiding introducing you to friends
* Always saying they are busy
* Failure to hold eye contact
* A niggling doubt or gut feeling that something isn’t quite right
