“When you give free things to people & ask them to pay later is deception” – John Dumelo.

NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West constituency, John Dumelo, is not happy at all with the new taxes introduced by President Nana Addo’s government.

Information Minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong revealed that these new taxes are important to pay for some of the free things enjoyed by Ghanaians during the COVID-19 pandemic — one of the such things is the free water supply.

From the onset, the Government promised that the things are free but now Mr. Oppong ciaims a wide gap of debt has been created, hence, Ghanaians need to be taxed more to fill the gap.

Reacting to this, John Dumelo said this actions from the Government is a clear case of deception.

In a Facebook post, he wrote:

…..when you lie to people that you giving them free things, only to come back and say “oh remember what I gave you”, it’s time to pay, that’s deception!
