The Unity and University halls of KNUST, popularly known as Katanga and Continental halls respectively, appear to be the most dominant halls in the Kumasi-based university.
AtinkaNews.net gathers that there was a heavy police presence at the forecourt of Conti hall Friday night after a fight broke out between some students of Conti and Katanga halls.

The cause of the fracas between the two male halls is yet to be known, however, the police were present to restore calm on the campus.
There has been no report of injury from both sides of the feuding halls.
The rivalry between Conti and Katanga halls goes way back, which has become an infamous occurrence between the two male halls.
The video of the retrogressive incident between the male students flaunting their egos has gained traction on social media.
