Supercars have a seamless combination of elegance and speed, making these two features look like a policy among all supercar manufacturers. The Aixam Mega Track is not different in this regard.
The Mega Track was created by a French automotive company with a mighty V12 engine good for 389hp and 420lb-ft of torque, the Mega Track could go to a top speed of 155mph. Its two rear seats were big enough to accommodate two adults.
9Bristol Fighter
Easy on the eyes, this car’s design was developed from a First World War plane design. Behind its sophisticated look and rich history, the car harbored a massive front-mounted V10 engine capable of 525bhp at 5,600 rpm and 525lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm.
With the options of either a manual or automatic shift, the Bristol Fighter was able to go from 0-60mph in just 4 seconds and go on to attain a top of 210 mph. These numbers were impressive for a car produced in the early 2000s, yet the company wanted to produce a sportier and faster version of the Fighter, dubbed the Bristol Fighter T.
8Devon GTX
Creator Scott Devon’s vision was to provide a supercar that stood out both in terms of appearance and stunning beauty, the Devon GTX would have been one of the most groundbreaking supercars ever built.
The car was set to be produced from 2010 after a bid for the fourth generation Dodge Viper design where the GTX was to borrow its design. Devon Motorworks was the only manufacturer who showed interest in the design, yet Chrysler turned down the offer and halted the production of the GTX.
7Gigliato Aerosa
Meant to be a high-end supercar, the Aerosa indeed had to prove itself in the automotive world. Gigliato knew that they needed someone with a firm stand in the supercar segment, which is why after the design was done in Japan, the car’s engineering and development was moved to Lamborghini.
The Aerosa had a spectacular exterior that housed the aggressive 4.6-liter V8 powerhouse derived from the Ford Mustang. With a starting price of only $65,000, this would be the go-to option if you were looking for an entry-level supercar.
6Spania GTA Spano
Besides racing for more than 15 years with the Spanish GTA team, the team director Domingo Ochoa decided that it was time to build a sports car of his own.
After 5yrs of development, he developed a prototype that was to be presented to a panel of specialists in Valencia. The car was fitted with an 8.3-liter twin-turbocharged Viper V10 engine with 925hp. With an option of a 7-speed manual or a 7-speed automated manual transmission, the GTA Spano was capable of hitting 60mph in 2.9 seconds from a standstill.
5Trion Nemesis
If the idea of a tall person comfortably driving a supercar sounds like a dream, the Trion Nemesis already made it a reality. Like a breath of fresh air, this car brings a new look for supercars that were previously assumed to be tiny and with limited interior space. The Trion Nemesis comes with ample legroom enough for a seven-foot driver.
Powered by a twin-turbo V8 capable of generating 2000hp, the Nemesis can go up to 270 mph, with a 0-60mph acceleration time of 2.8 seconds.
4Arash AF8
The AF8 was manufactured by Arash Farboud, previously known as Farboud limited. The company was founded in 1999 and changed its name in 2006. The AF8 used its brother supercar’s production, the AF10, which came with a five-motor hybrid drivetrain, a feature that made it quite famous.
Although the AF10 received a lot of attention, the AF8 was not to be undermined. It was a supercar easily comparable with Ferrari 458 and McLaren MP4-12C. Under its hood lay a mighty 7.0-liter LS7 V8. Even though the car flopped, its specs remain a force to be reckoned with.
3Ascari KZ1
Having gotten its name from Ascari’s owner and successful Dutch businessman, Klaas Zwart, the KZ1 first made its global debut in 2005 with a price tag of $235,000. Each KZ1 was custom-made, and with that, it required up to 340 hours of handcrafting to build it.
Being the second model that the company had come up with, the KZ1 was the road-going version of the A410 Le Mans original. Each car came with a carbon fiber body and a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 500 horsepower.
2Covini C6W
The enigma surrounding the Covini design goes unmatched. Fitted with six wheels, the car also comes with an extra set of brakes, which should be helpful since the car comes with a 4.2-liter Audi V8 engine good for 500 horsepower. Its manufacturer believed the extra pair of wheels would make it able to corner better at high speeds, grip well even in wet conditions, and also be able to come to a complete halt proficiently.
The driving ideology behind the building of this vehicle was to produce the safest supercar in the automotive industry. Sadly, it never took off.
1Cizeta V16T
Authenticity doesn’t justify the method used to come up with the design of the Cizeta V16T. Originating from Italy, where style comes as a top priority when designing anything, the V16T is indeed a car unique unto itself.
The car’s design was forged following a collaboration between automotive engineer Claudio Zampolli, music composer Giorgio Moroder and the famous designer Marcello Gandini. To bring out the true power of a supercar in an Italian style, the Cizeta hired a group of ex-Lamborghini engineers to develop the V16T.
