A little over two years ago, Ahmed Hussein Suale met his untimely death.
An eye witness recounted what he saw; “They shot him before Ahmed moved the car. He used the car to hit a kiosk, the man followed him there and gave him some more shots.”
In June 2018, Investigative Journalist Anas Aremyaw Anas released his number 12 documentary.
He filmed then GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi engaged in influence peddling. Ahmed Hussein Suale described as a colleague of Anas is said to have been instrumental in the project.
Shortly after its release, Anas and his colleague became victims of series of verbal attacks. On the evening of January 16, 2019, Ahmed Suale was shot dead by unidentified gunmen riding motorbikes.
Mustapha Idriss, a relative of Ahmed Suale told JoyNews the only means of forgetting this worrying incident is if Ahmed’s killers are jailed.
“I don’t think it is something we can put behind us and move on. That is what the police want us to do. We will continue to ask for the perpetrators of Ahmed Suale. We want to know what actually happened”
