Confession time, when I was very young, I wanted to become a Doctor and just like 98% of people out here, I am no where close to those dreams, as my preferences just changed over time and the hardest reason, it turned out, Science was not my favourite after all.
However, this beauty is not like me, as Dr. Vanessa Mensah-Kabu, is one of the people who dreamt of becoming a doctor and ended up becoming a doctor actually.
Dr. Vanessa Mensah-Kabu, who is beautiful by all standards, has suddenly become a fast rising young individual. For instance, just this week, she signed a contract with Malta Guinness as one of their social media influencers. Malta Guinness is boosting its influencer marketing as it seeks to connect authentically, communicate tangibly with consumers as well as invest in the co-creation of marketing content, with these influencers.
Malta Guinness, the leading non-alcoholic malt beverage in Ghana has therefore signed personalities such as Deloris “Delay” Frimpong-Manso, Giovani Caleb and a few others aside the beautiful Dr. Vanessa Kabu to four-month influencer marketing deals, as they would spearhead the third phase of Malta Guinness’ #Rekognize campaign through a series of social media posts and engagements aimed at connecting with the brand’s consumers in a relevant and meaningful way Based on a tense cultural insight that “Ghanaians don’t support each other’s dreams and ambitions”, Malta Guinness launched a brand-in-culture campaign to provoke a national debate drawing attention and belief behind the brand’s 30th-anniversary campaign “Celebrate Our Own”.
Well lets get to know her story. she graduated from DaLian Medical University in the Peoples Republic of China where she was actively involved in an array of activities one being a Mock UN conference where she represented Afghanistan and consequently won the best represented country with her team. She is also a proud Hopsan (an alumni of Holy Child School, Cape Coast) while there, she was the 2IC (second in command) for the school cadet corps as well as being a pioneer in the school’s rugby team.
With regards to career, she has been practicing as a general practitioner for over 5 years having started her horsemanship in Korle Bu Teaching hospital, 37 Military Hospital, and Legon Hospital and currently, she works with the West African Rescue Association as a medical officer attending to patients with regards to the management of diseases. She has also previously successfully gone through training in BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS ( Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as well as Basic Fire Training.
The stunning medical practitioner, became the youngest medical doctor for her batch when she graduated, from the DaLian Medical University in the Peoples Republic of China, but has since been inducted as a medical doctor in Ghana in May 2015 at age 22. Aside medicine, she has also found pleasure in modelling, been a fashionista and currently been a media personality, who hosts her own health education program.
This may be a heartbreaking news for any single guy already admiring her, as you read, as this beautiful doctor is, off the market. She is indeed married to an amazing man Capt. Davison Mensah-Kabu of the Ghana Armed Forces and come this September, their marriage turns 2years.
In her field of work, she has ended up receiving several awards, indicative of a good work she is doing. She has also become the choice for several media houses when it comes to seeking expert opinions on health and medicine. Clearly, she has big plans for her self and the general medicine practice landscape in the country and we can only wish her well in all her endeavours.
