Being a Member of Parliament in Ghana as been tagged by the public as a very lucrative business where men go to amass generational wealth.
An MP, according to the public, just sits at the parliament with his left hand in public coffers and the right hand under his jaw but Sam George says its the exact opposite.
According to MP for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, the work of an MP is not as lucrative as perceived, as a matter of fact, those that become MPs regret at the long run.
Sam George in an interview on Starr FM yesterday told Nana Aba Anamoah how much they earn and some of the hidden secrets that no MP will you about their work.
The gross monthly salary of an MP in Ghana, according to Sam George , stands at around GHC29,000 but tax and other deductions reduces the money to as little as GHC11,000 every month.
