Umaru Sanda is an ace journalist who works at Citi TV. Today, he posted an interesting photo on his page. He identified the two people sighted in the post as the two beneficiaries of the National Security Slap Programme.
These two individuals were Sam Dzata George, Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram Constituency and Caleb Kudah. These two people are amongst the several people who are victims of the slaps from the National Security. See photo.
Sam Dzata George was assaulted during the bye-election at the Ayawaso Wuogan Constituency which saw to the election of Lydia Alhassan Seyram, the current member of Parliament of Ayawaso West Wuogan.
Caleb Kudah is a journalist at Citi FM. He was equally assaulted for filming some dejected cars at the national security headquarters. From his narration after his release, he stated that he had received u countless number of slaps from officers in the national security.
Thia has become a problem and worry in Ghana. The question that I constantly ponder is; ” Why do trained officers resort to unlawful means and violence in solving problems?”. If not for anything, we are in the 21st century. Such activities are uncivilized and uncalled for. There need to be some sort of discipline in the security sector since such cases always tend to be on the increase.
