“Nigeria can never boast of a defender like him” – Nana Aba Anamoah shuts Nigerian blogger up for disrespecting Sammy Osei Kuffour
Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah mounted a strong defence in favour of Ghana when Nigerian blogger, Japheth Joshua Omojuwa tried to disrespect former Black Stars player, Sammy Osei Kuffour.
JJ Omojuwa shared a tweet earlier where he was trying to disagree with the views shared by the former Bayern Munich defender on Super Sports as far as the Euros is concerned.
Sammy Kuffour, per his punditry role with Multichoice Africa owners of DSTV, made some comments about how defenders need to be quick on the ball to ensure that their teams do not concede avoidable goals.
In fact, Sammy said Germany’s defender Gosens was an unknown player and he was replied to by fellow pundit on the show as to whether he watches the SERIA A or not.
JJ Omojuwa was marvelled by Sammy Osei Kuffour’s opinions especially with how he said the defenders were not playing so well and allowing strikers to score so many goals at the Euros.
Omojuwa questioned Sammy Osei Kuffor by stating that everybody watched him when he was a player and the goals he conceded as a defender so it was quite strange that now, he talks as if he was the best defender who never made mistakes.
In a nutshell, Omojuwa felt Osei Kuffour needs to be circumspect in the way he critiques defenders since he was not a better defender during his time.
This tweet got many Ghanaians infuriated who went to the comment section to express their displeasure. Many bashed JJ Omojuwa for trying to disregard an African legend like Sammy Osei Kuffour.
This was how come Nana Aba Anamoah also retweeted the tweet and asked Omojuwa if Nigeria could ever produce a solid and formidable defender like Sammy Osei Kuffour. According to her, Sammy Osei Kuffour had worked so hard to earn his place thus his views as a pundit on DSTV need to be respected.
