The First Lady of Ghana Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo Addo in a letter to her husband indirectly gave Ghanaians a hint as to why His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo has been dozing off in the middle of conferences.
There has been notable moments where the President was captured dozing off. At the Financing Of Africa Summit organised by President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, His Excellency Nana Addo was seen dozing.
A similar incident went viral during a meeting of Pan African Parliament. These are only a few cases of the many instances of the President sleeping at ceremonies.
Whiles most Ghanaians blamed the incident on old age, others simply didn’ t hesitate to tag the president as incompetent. However, the First Lady has given the real reason behind the President sleeping.
On 20th June 2021, a heartfelt message was written to the president by his wife to wish him a Happy Father’ s Day. She explained that over the past four years, the commitment of President Akufo Addo towards the development of Ghana is incomparable.
