Unhappy insiders at the Jubilee House are telling of growing discontent against the Chief of Staff, Madam Frema Opare over what is described as her ultra-luxurious lifestyle.
The Chief administrator at the Jubilee House reportedly drives to work in a convoy of four luxury vehicles, pays her Special Aide, Wendy Sarpong hefty ex-gratia and junkets to Dubai for expensive two-week vacations with at least 10 staff tagging along, among others.
Madam Frema reportedly drives to the seat of government every day in a four-car convoy including a customised Benz C-Class, Brand New Toyota Prado, Golf and a white Hyundai Sonata with registration number VD 191-20.
Her aide-de-camp, one Lt. Col. Oduro and a certain Protoozoa are reportedly also targeted at the Jubilee House for allegedly “poisoning” her mind and deflects all the anger aimed at her.
According to our sources, this extravagant lifestyle is irking some workers and aides at the Presidency, particularly the National Security agents prowling the Jubilee House.
The tension at the Jubilee House had reportedly resulted in Mada Frema getting locked up in a toilet for several minutes at the Lashibi Funeral Home two weeks ago.
Apparently, the anger at the Chief of Staff hit a crescendo when the Akufo Addo administration decided to pay hefty ex-gratia to security details and aides at the Jubilee House for their services between 2017 and 2021.
Our sources reveal that in the dishing out of the contentious ex-gratia, the Special Aide to the Chief of Staff, Wendy Sarpong who also drives a luxurious car was given GHC 200,000 ex-gratia while military and police officers at the Presidency earned GHC30,000 each.
The bottom feeders were the National Security “boys”, who only earned a paltry GHC 5,000 each, much to their utter angst.
Their anger has reportedly escalated into threats aimed at the Chief of Staff, Whatsup News gathered.
