Angry Asante residents in Ntonso in the Kwabere East district of the Ashanti region have clashed with the Zongo youth in the area.
The clashes started Sunday evening when the two youth groups met at a drinking pub known as NO SIZE PUB.
Early Monday morning, the Zongo youth started vandalizing the shops belonging to the Ashantis. The Ashanti youth in anger also mobilised and retaliated.
The two youth groups subsequently went on a rampage and destroyed properties including cars.
Several victims have in been injured and hospitalized.
The Police are currently in the community to maintain calm and order and to prevent further damage.
