Veteran Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown and millionaire Freedom Jacob Caeser have teamed up to provide lifetime support for the conjoined twins.
Parents of the twins apparently have no worries about the education and the accommodation of the twins when they are finally separated.
McBrown and Freedom Jacob Caeser, otherwise known as Nana Cheddar have presented accommodation and lifetime education scholarship for the twins
The two joined a conference held at the Accra Ridge Hospital to present the life-changing opportunity to the family of the twins as doctors prepare to separate them.
Top Ghanaian journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah who advocated for help for the twins wrote on social media;
‘Huge thanks to @iamamamcbrown & @iamfreedom for passing through the Ridge Hospital this afternoon. The two presented an elaborate plan for a sustainable life that covers education, accommodation etc. after the process to separate the conjoined twins.
‘God bless you, @iamfreedom & @iamamamcbrown.
She also revealed that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has paid GHC 3 million to cover the bill for the surgery.
According to reports, the President allocated GHC 15 million for the surgery – GHC12 million to be used to buy the equipment for the surgery which will become a state property at the end, and GHC 3 million for the family to fund medical cost.
The surgery is expected to take over 18 months and about 160 doctors are going to perform the surgery in over 50 hours.
It’s going to be the first-ever conjoined twins’ surgery performed in Ghana.
Also, Nana Aba has extended her gratitude to all the people who have helped to raise about GHC 500, 000 to support the separation of the conjoined twins.
