Ghana on Sunday, March 15, 2020, announced the confirmation of a total of 6 ‘imported’ cases of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Few hours after the disclosure, President Akufo-Addo announced some extreme measures including the shutting down of all schools in the country and the cancellation of all public gatherings.

Many Ghanaians have hailed the action by President Akufo-Addo but are calling for stricter travel restrictions at the country’s entry points.
