Suhuyini pays surgery bill of NSS personnel who fell from 4th floor at Legon.

A National Service personnel resident at the University of Ghana campus who was in critical condition after falling from the fourth floor of the Mensah Sarbah Hall Annex A has had his surgery bills paid for by the Member of Parliament for Tamale North constituency Alhassan Suhuyini.

The young man, identified as Wahab Abdulai, is said to have fallen out of his room after he slipped when attempting to move from his balcony to the balcony of the adjacent room.

Although it is unclear what accounted for the rather risky move, the incident is reported to have happened around 1:30 am on Friday. He had sustained severe injuries on his hands and legs.

He was on admission at the Ridge hospital where the surgeries were conducted.

After Sayida Maltiti, a journalist with EIB Network, reached out to some Muslim groups who contributed some money for his medicines and later some Northern MPs because he comes from the North.

The MP for Tamale North then decided to clear all the medical bills remaining and he was subsequently discharged from the Ridge hospital.

The lawmaker further sent some monies to the young man’s family house in Tamale for recovery support.

Wahab Abdulai is currently at a family friend’s house in Accra and is gradually getting his speech ability and memory back.
