With just less than 72 hours to the much anticipated #fixthecountry# nationwide demonstration, the heat and enthusiasm is already boiling up in the veins of not only the ordinary Ghanaian youth, but the leading conveners of the fixthecountry# campaign.
In a build up to what is expected to be arguably one of the hottest nationwide protest after the famous “Ku me preko” protest in the mid 90s, the leaders of the campaign, Oktakyie Africa, Avram Ben Moshe and others were live at Onua TV’s morning show, “Onua maakye” hosted by the outspoken captain smart who himself is a leading convener.
And speaking with raging anger the conveners told the youth to put aside any partizan affiliation and attend the protest with the intention of fighting for mother Ghana.
Oktakyie Afrifa in his submission described Ghanaians especially the Akans as political mediocre who worship the NPP as a religion. According to him unlike other Akans, he is an Akan by birth, but he will never keep mute concerning the bad governance of this current NPP government.
“We the Akans are the major problems of the country. When its the NPP in power everything is okay for them, but when its any other political party, they would attack that party for the whole four year term”, he concluded.
He therefore advised his fellow Akans to start being more nationalistic rather than being partizan.
Do you think the partizan nature of some Ghanaians will change after this fixthecountry# protest?
