A 38-year-old woman has been arrested by the Mankranso Divisional Police Command for attempting to sell carcasses of suspected bird flu infested poultry at Biemso No1 in the Ahafo Ano South-East District of the Ashanti Region.
The woman who has been identified as Habiba Amidu was apprehended by police on Tuesday, August 10, after she was spotted loading 7 sacks full of dead birds.

Confirming the information, Ahafo Ano South East District Agric officer, Martin Amoah said they have since buried all the bird-flu infested birds.
