Travellers using the Wa-Nadowli-Lawra highway were Friday morning stranded between Serekpere and Goriyiri in the Nadowli Kaleo District of the Upper West region after torrential rains caused parts of the area to flood.
Passengers who were on their way from Accra and other parts of the country to the Upper West spent more than 3 hours waiting for the water level to go down.
One articulated truck which was travelling from Tema in Accra to Burkina was involved in an accident in an attempt to cross.
