Citi FM and Citi TV journalist, Umaru Sanda Amadu has named some people that influenced his journalism career.
According to the host of ‘Eye Witness News’ on Citi FM, his confidence in asking daring questions is borne out of the type of journalists he used to listen to and watch while growing up.
According to him, even though he has always been very assertive from childhood, he took a lot of inspiration from Former Information Minister James Agyenim Boateng (formerly of Radio Gold) and Delay of ‘The Delay Show’ fame.
“I’ve been influenced by a few people; I entered journalism because I used to listen to a gentleman called James Agyenim Boateng on Radio Gold. He used to be a soft-spoken guy but when he punched the punches were very deadly and then you won’t believe this but Deloris Frimpong-Manso ‘Delay’. I mean I like how she asks her questions and she asks them bluntly,” he told Apiorkor on Citi TV’s culinary show, ‘What’s Cooking?’
Umaru Sanda, despite his unbridled sense of humour has been described as one of the most mischievous broadcasters in the country.
For many, his exceptional interviewing skill sets him apart from most of his competitors.
Sanda is also the host of ‘Face to Face’ on Citi TV.
