Agenda 111 drawing from its GHC600m 2020 budget – Finance Ministry.

The Finance Ministry has clarified the funding source for President Akufo-Addo’s agenda 111 which started on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry, the project will draw funds from the GHC600 million allocated for it in 2020 as captured in the budget.

It comes after the Minority in Parliament accused the government of haven already spent over GHC636 million on the project even before sod cutting.

The Agenda 111 project includes 101 district hospitals, six regional hospitals in the newly created regions, two specialised hospitals in the middle and northern belts, as well as a regional hospital in the Western Region and renovation of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.

Each unit would have facilities such as Outpatient services, including consultation for medical and surgical cases, Ophthalmology, Dental and Physiotherapy and Imaging services.
