Two people have died while another is in critical condition in a gory accident that occurred on Saturday at Juaso in the Ashanti Region.
The deceased has been identified as Frederick Oduro, aged 38, and Kwadwo Oppong, 46.
According to a Police statement, Frederick Oduro who was driving a Hyundai Accent saloon car with registration number GW 329 -20 returning from Accra to Kumasi upon reaching a spot at Juaso close to the public cemetery, impatiently started overtaking about two vehicles at a go and in the process collided with a KIA Grandbird bus with registration number, ER 6000 -11 which was moving on the opposite direction of the road.

“Some of the occupants on board the KIA Grandbird bus sustained injuries and were rushed to the Juaso Government Hospital for treatment”, the police said in its report.
One of the victims, Ninkarb Adoma Peace has been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for further treatment, the report added.
Bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Steward Mortuary at Yawkwei near Konongo.
