Motorists on the Accra-Kumasi highway were delayed for more than one hour at Duampompo in the Ashanti Region due to an accident which occurred on road.
Our reporter, Peter Adattor reports the head of a moving tipper truck removed from its body and broke through the metal rail guards along the road and fell inside a valley.
He said the body of the truck was left on the road while its head fell inside the valley, a situation which blocked the road for over an hour.
He said the Ghana Police Service came in to tow the body of the truck off the road to restore free vehicular movement. No casualty has been reported.
Meanwhile, it is not clear what may have caused the tipper truck to disintegrate into two, but eyewitnesses and residents blame it on the road.
