Speaking exclusively to Joynews, Honorable Joshua Makubu recounted his teary and sad moments that preceded his success story. He explained that after a crucial meeting in his former office as DCE, they told him to leave office simply because of his disability. It took the intervention of current Chief of Staff Honorable Akosua Frema Opare to maintain him.

He added that, he wept continuously in his office and thought of it. However, he saw the agitation and concern of the Assembly members and stakeholders trying to push him out as genuine because truly they saw him as disabled who can’t help the District.

To him, that was where he decided to prove them wrong. He worked so hard to achieve a higher Laurel to the amazement of all. He advised that, disability is not inability. In his youthful age, a social welfare Officer demoralized him to go and learn tailoring instead of going to tertiary. Why ? Because he is Disabled.

Again he wept Bitterly in his room and proved that officer Wrong. He went to the university and here is he today as a whole Regional Minister. He urged all and Sundry not to demoralize disabled people from occupying offices. This is because they also have something special in there them.
