The lawyer of Rosemond Brown aka Akuapem Poloo, Andrew Vortia, has revealed that the actress has dramatically lost weight after a week in jail.
Akuapem Poloo has been in jail since last week when she received a 90-day jail sentence. Even after acquiring bail earlier this week, she failed to meet the bail conditions and has been in custody until today, Friday, April 23rd.
She has finally met the conditions and has now been released.
Speaking to the media after his client’s release, Lawyer Vortia said that Poloo has truly lost weight and grown pale due to her one week jail stint.
“You could see that her spirit is very low, she appears very slim and pale. She has been amazed by the concerns Ghanaians have shown.” Vortia said.
Poloo is now being taken to her home in Kasoa. She was granted bail in the sum of Ghc 80,000 with two sureties.
Lawyer Vortia also pledged that Akuapem Poloo would address the media today if she’s able to get home before 5pm.
Poloo is not entirely free as her case is on appeal – she received a 90-day jail sentence after posting a n*de photo with her son.
She would remain on bail until the appeal is fully heard and a judgement is rendered.
