A Nigerian disc jockey died earlier today in Ukraine after being “misdiagnosed” in Nigeria, doctors said. DJ Ojay as he was popularly known was aid to have been ill for quite some time and was diagnosed by doctors in Nigeria last December as having pneumonia.

Ojay lived in Zaporizhzhya City in Ukraine and was on a trip to his country of Nigeria where he fell ill. He was given medication for pneumonia and told not to worry. He was to leave Nigeria back to Ukraine but his trip was delayed for unknown reasons. Then back in mid-December he left Nigeria after being cleared by doctors.

According to our sources, his room mate said he has been hospitalized for the past two weeks until his untimely death earlier today in the capital city of Kyiv. Ukrainian doctors revealed that the deceased had had tuberculosis for “a long time” and the disease had spread throughout his blood stream. The doctors further stated that this was clearly misdiagnosed back in his home country of Nigeria.

The African community in Ukraine is yet to recover from the stabbing death of a Congolese student who incidentally was buried today. This could not have come at a worse time.
