Asiedu Nketiah Warns Public Officials as NDC Intensifies Nationwide Anti-Corruption Crackdown

Asiedu Nketiah warns all public officials as the NDC launches a strict anti-corruption crackdown, vowing that no offender, past or present, will escape prosecution.

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has issued a strong warning to public officials, declaring that corruption will no longer be tolerated under the current administration. He said ongoing investigations and recent high-profile arrests mark the beginning of a sweeping accountability campaign.

“Wherever Ken Ofori-Atta is hiding, we’ll find him. Every crime they have committed, they must answer for it,” Nketiah stated, stressing that the crackdown is not politically selective.

“A criminal is a criminal, whether NPP, NDC or otherwise,” he added, noting that even members of his own party will face prosecution if implicated.

The warning follows more than 2,400 corruption-related complaints submitted to the Attorney General under the NDC-led “Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).” Nketiah said the government is committed to “tightening the noose on accountability.”

He further urged reforms to strengthen anti-graft institutions, calling on the Constitutional Review Committee to separate the roles of Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, arguing that the current arrangement creates conflicts of interest.

Commenting on the ongoing arrests, he cautioned: “As for the arrests, we have only just begun,” affirming that no official, past or present, will be spared if found culpable.
