Ghanaian rapper Awal Mohammed has addressed ongoing rumours about a supposed rift between him and Sarkodie. He explained that although they were once very close, their connection naturally faded over time due to life changes, including Sarkodie moving out of their old neighbourhood and later getting married.
Awal noted that despite the reduced communication, there is still mutual respect between them. According to him, they continue to exchange pleasantries whenever they meet, and there is no hostility or tension in their interactions.
The young rapper revealed that he has confronted Sarkodie several times to be sure there is no underlying issue causing the distance. On each occasion, Sarkodie reportedly assured him that there is no problem, reinforcing Awal’s belief that nothing negative has occurred between them.
Awal also dismissed suggestions that he might have offended Sarkodie, stating firmly that he has done nothing wrong. He believes the current distance is simply the result of personal growth and changing life circumstances, rather than any disagreement.
He urged fans and observers to stop misrepresenting the situation, adding that there is no bad blood between him and Sarkodie. Awal emphasized that he holds no grudges and continues to appreciate the role Sarkodie played in his early career.
