The story of Gabriel McAdams is proves that humanity still cares, although we live in such wicked times now.
He’s a homeless dude who sleeps on the streets, but taking to TikTok, Gabriel McAdams appealed to his followers to help him raise funds to get him off the streets.
Sharing video of his poor living conditions, every one was moved and within a few days, he got $60,000 in donations on his Go Fund Me account.
He stated:
“My name is Gabriel,I am 25 and I have been homeless for over a year now. For the last two days, I have been sleeping behind this church(pointing to his current place of abode) inside this cardboard boxes.”
He continued:
” I use to have a tent which was gifted to me until a lady saw me living in such tent and asked if I had a gun and that her dad is afraid for his life and two days later my tent was dragged out of the woods.”
Gabriel said in one of his videos that it’s his utmost wish to enter the military someday and claimed he sits beside places he can get free Wi-Fi to use so he can do his homework.
“I do hard jobs to keep myself fit but is looking for an actual job but needs a new birth certificate, social security and an ID before I can actually be hired.”
He added.
Talking about how he was rendered homeless, Gabriel McAdams said on TikTok that this happened because he was raised by my aunt who sold her house and left the state.
He said that afterwards, he was managing a tent in the woods but one day a lady caused it to get destroyed.
He wrote in his Go Fund Me description:
“The previously mentioned cousin of my girlfriend purchased me a tent, and I had been living in it and keeping my things there since I started at the job my friend had gotten me.
Recently a lady saw me leaving the woods from my tent and yelled multiple times to get my attention as if she was waiting on me and she asked if I had a gun, if I was alone and that she stayed with her dad who she said was afraid, I told her I did not and she had no reason to fear me I was just a homeless guy trying to survive.
I went back to the tent late one night to avoid anymore meetings and it was gone. The poles used to hold it up had been broken and thrown aside and besides my blankets, a coat, and one shoe everything in the tent was dragged along with it leaving a trail all the way out of the woods.”
He continued:
“I’ve been sleeping behind an empty church for the last few days since this was the only place I could find where I wasn’t bothering anyone. I spend most of my time sitting beside foodlion using there wifi so I can do my school work and finish my diploma so I can leave for the army. Everything i own fits in a bookbag, 2 blankets and hygiene products. I’m currently looking for another job but had to get a new id, birth certificate and social security card.”
In other for people to believe his story, Gabriel shared step by step videos of how he was putting the money to good use.
He took to TikTok to thank all those that helped that they
“have literally changed his life in over a night”.
“I cannot remember the last time I have the ability to take a shower or wear a clean clothes or eat warm food. I don’t even know what I could possibly do with such an amount of money.”
He said.
“Right now, I am just planning to stay in school, stay fed, find a place to stay and stay warm.”
He added.
At the end of the day, he was able to raise $94,806 in total from donations.
