A 14-year-old boy, Daniel Kwame Asante, in Akatsi in the Volta Region is seeking support from the public to help him raise an amount of GHS 75,420 for Kyphoscoliosis spine surgery.
The young boy and his mother, Kumah Esenam have appealed for support from the general public and other NGOs to help them raise 75,420 Cedis for Daniel Asante’s spine surgery at the FOCOS Orthopedic Hospital in Accra.
Mr. Daniel Kwame Asante who is staying with his single mother at Akatsi in the Volta Region was diagnosed with a medical condition called Kyphoscoliosis at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in February last year and is estimated to cost GHS 100,560 Cedis for a surgery.
Even though Doctors have advised that the surgery be done as soon as possible to make him walk properly again, Madam Kumah Esenam speaking with Adwoaadubianews.com says she and her family have run out of resources and are at a fix now.
Unable to raise the amount involved, young Kwame Asante has returned home and is now under the care of his mother, hoping he will be able to raise the money through the benevolence of society.
The family is, therefore, appealing to the general public to come to their aid with cash donations as his situation could get worse if early spine surgery is not done to save his life.
