A man in Cape Coast has been caught on video stealing a salesgirl’s mobile phone after pretending to be a customer in her shop.
The incident occurred when the man engaged the young woman in a conversation for nearly 10 minutes, creating the impression that he wanted to buy an item. He then asked her to fetch a product from the top shelf.
While the salesgirl was distracted, the man quickly picked up her phone and exited the shop.
The footage, which has since circulated on social media, has drawn widespread reactions, with many calling for increased vigilance among shop attendants to guard against such tactics.
