Chief of Staff’s representative addressing Ghanaian entrepreneurs at the 15th Anniversary Gala

The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has commended Ghanaian entrepreneurs for their unwavering resilience and their vital contribution to national development.

His remarks were delivered on his behalf by Mr. Alvis Afriyie Ankrah during the 15th Anniversary Awards and Dinner Gala of the Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation held on Friday, 1st August 2025.

Speaking as the guest of honour, Mr. Debrah acknowledged the many challenges faced by the business community, ranging from high inflation and currency depreciation to global supply chain disruptions and local policy constraints.

He praised Ghanaian entrepreneurs for their ability to endure, adapt, and continue building despite the economic turbulence.

He described entrepreneurs as the backbone of the country’s economy, noting their role in job creation, innovation, and global representation. According to him, their ability to overcome adversity reflects a remarkable spirit that deserves recognition and support at the highest levels of government.

On behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and the Government of Ghana, the Chief of Staff congratulated the awardees, emphasizing that the celebration was more than ceremonial; it was symbolic of hope, innovation, and transformation led by local enterprise.

He also underscored the significance of honours such as the Legacy Lifetime Achievement Awards and the Top 25 Most Influential Entrepreneurs of All Time, saying they represent success built on long-term impact and transformational leadership.

He concluded by affirming the government’s commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem under the leadership of President John Mahama.
