Counselor Lutterodt has incited rapers in the country through his comment-Maurice Ampaw

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw says Counselor George Lutterodt should have been invited by the Ghana Police for the reckless comment he made regarding rape victims.

Counselor Lutterodt was criticized extensively in the news recently for making the comment, every rape victim enjoys the act before it ends.

According to the controversial counselor, when the act begins, even though the victim is not ready for it, they begin to enjoy it in the process hence it could be said that they have consented to the act at that point.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw reacting to it noted that such reckless comments is likely to give some men more reasons to abuse women sexually because they might feel women enjoyed been raped at a time.

Also women who have been raped or defiled will loose hope in the system due to such comments which can results in fear and depression among rape victims.

Lawyer Maurice Ampaw speaking to the issue on UTV showbiz added that if Ghana was a serious country, Counselor Lutterodt should have been called for more probing and questioning for such reckless comments to serve as a deterrent to others.

The Deputy Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection also indicated that most of Counselor Lutterodt comments either target women negatively or make mockery of them without making positive impacts in the lives of women.

She made reference to earlier comments made by him which buttressed her point and asked him to apologize to Ghanaians for the rape comment which he did on the show.
